Born in Aix-les-Bains, France, Victor Muffat-Jeandet has had a passion for sports from a very young age. He tried his hand at many different ones before deciding to dedicate himself fully to alpine skiing. He made his World Cup debut in February 2009 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, and slowly made a name for himself in slalom, giant slalom, and the combined. He achieved his first podium in 2015 with a runner-up finish in the super combined in Wengen, the same place where he would claim his first-ever World Cup victory in the same discipline three years later. The 2017/18 season was a breakthrough one for him as after claiming his first World Cup victory in January, he went on to win an Olympic bronze medal at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 a month later. His hobbies are reading, computers, traveling, mountain biking, wakeboarding, and surfing. He describes himself as a rigorous perfectionist who likes work well done and who is very demanding with himself.
